Area of Study

 Amouzadeh Mahdiraji specializes in Pragmatics in its continental sense, including sociolinguistics, anthropological linguistics, discourse analysis, and semiotics. His primary focus is on the relationship between language, culture, and cognition. Currently, he is a professor of linguistics at the University of Isfahan. He began his career as an assistant professor at the University of Isfahan in 2000, and has also worked intermittently as a visiting scholar or Humboldt senior researcher at various institutes around the world, such as Hamburg University, Freiburg University, Heinrich Heine University, Charles Prague University, Berkeley University, and Sun Yat-sen University. He has published numerous articles in leading international and local scientific journals, as well as book chapters in the fields of linguistics, translation studies, pragmatics, and Persian literature. He has also presented papers at many international conferences.
